Primary Care of Southwest Georgia (PCSG) and its dedicated staff are here to provide your entire family with quality health care! We have six locations across southwest Georgia that service Early, Decatur, Thomas, and Brooks counties and all of the surrounding communities. PCSG works to ensure that its patients have access to all levels of the health care system through a family practice model of care and is especially committed to providing services for the medically underserved.
PCSG was established in 2005 and opened a Federally Qualified Community Health Center in Blakely, Georgia, in March 2006. In August 2007, a second site was opened in Thomasville. PCSG welcomed a third location in Bainbridge in August 2015 and its fourth location in Quitman April 2017. In January 2018, PCSG opened its first school-based health center at Thomas County Middle School. PCSG has now been fortunate to open its second school-based health center in Blakely, Georgia, at the Early County Elementary School.
PCSG is a non-profit corporation which is governed by a local board of directors made up of community members, 51% of whom are required to be active patients.
PCSG is a strong advocate of preventative education and public health activities. Primary Care of Southwest Georgia collaborates with other community agencies and organizations, i.e., local hospitals, Spring Creek Health Cooperative, and Public Health to identify health related needs and to develop resources to facilitate these needs.
This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
